Hey guy's I took my trans out of my '01 cobra, it's a t3650, the thing was grinding going into 3rd at high rpm's. AAMCO told me it was going to be about $1500 to fix. I have seen alot of people having trouble with this same transmission, so I thought about upgrading. I was wanting to upgrade to the T56 (6spd) and I found a new one for $2300 shipped to my door, or a used one for $1600 shipped to my door. Was wondering which way to go and if this was a good deal. I also need a driveshaft out of a '03-'04 cobra because the T56 is a little longer so the drive shaft is shorter. Plese help!

Don't fix the old TR3650 for 1500 as you can buy a new one for 1189 from D and D Performance (Wixom MI). Anyways, if you have the money go with the T-56 swap. They sell them for 2499 with the D/S, crossmember, and new cable. I would not buy a used one as people usually miss and grind gears. There is usually a reason why people are trying to sell their old stick trans..you know what I mean? Good luck
