Tranny/shifter making funny noises...

JUST WHAT I ****IN NEED! When i shift into 3rd with anymore than easing it into gear, the shifter kinda like vibrates into gear, and makes a lil tiny grinding sound like if you shift into a gear, and dont have the clutch in far enough...could this be my shifter worn out? its the stocker btw....or is it my tranny? the last thing i need is a ****ed up trans cause my pops is already skeptical about me racing cause hes afraid im gonna break something...help please!:SNSign:

dont feel bad, my tranny grinds bad when hitting 3rd, mostly when i'm at WOT.

3rd does the same for me, it's the synchro's going to *****. Just keep easing it in...

same sh1t here, man. just ease it in, nice and slow. double clutch if you can, and give it an extra second or so before you put it into gear.

ya thats what ive been doing once i figured out what it was today....just pisses me off cause now i have to rebuild it, and since the trans is out, i may as well take the stock clutch out too, which is another $150ish for a king cobra....it never ends....

i've heard bad things about the KC clutch kit--something about how the quality went to hell.
