Alright. I'm to the point of removing the pedal assembly from the donor car. I've got the four nuts off the firewall. One nut and one screw off the top part. Everything unplugged. Is this where I just pull as hard as I can to get the brake pedal out? It doesn't look like there is anything else to disconnect but I don't really want to break anything.

Is the clutch cable still attached to the quadrant?

Master cylinder pushrod still attached to the brake pedal?

I'm assuming the steering column is already out of the way.

On mine, the stud that comes down from the dash frame into the pedal bracket was in a bind and I needed some leverage to get it to let go of the bracket. It was a pain, but a little patience went a long way.

one little trick

Go under the hood and pull the master cylinder forward until the bolts clear the pedal assembly. I wedged a large screwdriver between the firewall and the MC to hold it out. Dang pedals nearly fell out then!

I did try the screwdriver thing. Problem was that I didn't detach the brake pedal from the pushrod or the clutch cable from the quadrant. Is the quadrant under the dash or under the hood? I don't really have any clue what I'm looking for.
