Tranny swap tomorrow

I am putting in my new tranny tomorrow and i was wondering if you had any last min advice for me. I am replacing it with another t5 so it should be pretty easy. Any little things that are tricky that i should know of. Let me know.

One more thing. When i put the shifter on do I need to seal it down with gasket sealer or something.

Gasket sealer helps. And just make sure you have the input shaft lined up right. Otherwise, enjoy the time on your back

What special do i have to do to line up the input shaft? Juat make sure that it slides in easily or is there something else that i should be looking for.

Oh ya I have a hoist and jacks to work with, so there will be no time on my back. It help having friends that own a shop. I got free towing also to get it there.

The hardest part will probably be the h-pipe. The rest is just a little maneuvering around and some quick heavy lifting.

Well 2 hours and counting hope it is as easy as it is sounding. We will see. I really hope it is, i miss driving it.

what about lifting the tranny out with an engine pull? Im at the same point, and instead of messing with the H pipe, i was just going to put the bellhousing back on the tranny (motor isnt in the car), get a chain, or somthing, around it, and lift it out. Of course having someone under hte car to hold the driveshaft when it comes down, and the tail shaft when it comes down... that sound like it would work?
