tranny swap

I have a 95GT with a s/c 347. I currently run a T5 but am fixing to upgrade to a TKO600 or T56. Which tranny would be best and what all do I need to swap out.The car currently has 498hp and 492tq. Any help would be appreciated.

Having the 6th gear is GREAT if you cruise the highways alot. Personally, i love the t56. But it is more expensive, so its all in what you want.

I would say a Viper t-56 would be the way to go with that power.

What are the differences in the T56's I see them on ebay and other places and they say that they are good to 440tq but Iknow there is either different ones out there or they are underated.

the viper spec t56 is rated to 600lb/ft
