TRANNY TICK

I installed a t-5-z tranny in my car yesterday, I unbolted my stocker from the bell housing and transfered from there. The problem was this,after I put everything back together i drove it and felt my clutch pedal vibrating, then whether i am in neutral or gear, i get a ticking noise from about 1200 rpm to 1800 rpm, then goes right away. If i rest my foot on the pedal it goes away. the tranny shifts perfectly fine, PLease help... one last thing, there is a steel bearing retainer on this transmission, but i noticed that the shaft on the retainer could move a bit..

did you install a new throw out bearing along with the tranny?? sounds like the throw out bearing is making the noise, specially if it goes away when you put your foot on the clutch pedal

I stupidly did not replace the throw out bearing. do you happen to know if the bearing retainer shaft is supposed to move at all? side to side
