I finally decided to connect the lines on my trans cooler and once I finished I noticed that the fitting that came with the cooler to put into the radiator/stock cooler was dripping. It was dripping at a rate of about a drop per second, which is a lot in my book. Is it safe to use teflon tape on the fitting? Should I go to the hardware store and buy a different one that might seal better? Any other suggestions?

*Heres a pic of a similar fitting. The threaded end goes into the radiator - that's where it is leaking from.

I used some on my Bronco when I added a new AOD and got a B&M supercooler. I had the same problem, I used the tef. tape and had no problems from that part of the line, I did blow off a hose from the end though, 6qrts of dexIII all under my truck :notnice: .
