I searched the threads and I understand the concept but I just can't figure out how to place the cable and arm on the trans. On the 66 the cable connects to the bottom part of the gas pedal linkage. I have the pedal installed, I have purchased the kickdown cable and the arm that goes on the trans was never on? No matter how I place it, it just doesn't make any sense. Can anyone get me a picture so I can look at the arm placement.

Thanks.

Is it the original trans? A column shif6t trans will have different levers.

In the link below there is a picture named 67-68 Mustang Kick Down. It is a little greasy but it is there and hopefully you can see how the cable connects to the lever on the trans. The lever is between the nut and the neutral safety switch. The kick down lever will point up between 1:00 and 2:00 position. I would link in the picture but Yahoo doesn't allow it.

Interesting .... I have that cable but I thought that it connected to another arm not just right on the Trans?

Thanks. I'll take a look.
