TRANS NOT SHIFTING SMOOTH

I have a 01 gt auto, and it feels like the trans is not shifting smoothly like it used to. My buddies have syclones and grandnationals and swear by this stuff called lube guard for automatics,problem is the directions say not to use with ford type f auto trans fluids question is can I use this on my car.

did you check your fluid level? and how many miles are on your car

I checked the fluid level and its fine, the car has 47k on it

I really hope you haven't been using type F in your tranny.....

Fords have used Dexron-Mercon for the last 20 years or so, they do not mix! See if the lube gaurd works with dexron-mercon and give it a shot. If you've put any type F in, immediately change the fluid and filter, and cross your fingers.
