Well I just got my TKO 600 in today... damn that was a pain. Got the input shaft all the way in except for the last 1/4" so I just tightened up the bolts till it closed the gap.

Anyways the shifter sits maybe 1/2"+ farther to the passenger side than the old T5 did. So much so that the rubber boot in the car pulls the trans out of 5th by itself...

Im using a TKO 600, TKO Bellhousing, HPM Crossmember, and a Prothane Mount.

I know the Fox Body Engine and Trans are not centered in the car but this seems a bit much.

Pics!

Also what is this connector for?

Looks like the above connector would fit on this electronic speedo sensor...

Break the spot welds on the stock trans crossmember and try using it with the stock mount.

How old are your motor mounts? My guess is your passenger one may be a bit tired, and the extra weight of the tko is giving it more trouble. Just a thought.

Motor mounts are less then 1,000 miles old.

The crossmember isnt causing it to sit off to the side. I had to pull the trans to the drivers side to bolt the trans mount to the trans.

Im going to call D&D today they should know somethin.

That is for the speedo. I have worked on alot of Fox cars that had the T5's sit with a kilter to them, prolly just drilled the dowel holes in the bell wrong. Loosen all the blots a bit and see if you can pull it over a bit.

I didnt have to drill any holes for dowels. My T5 sat straight in the shifter hole.

the only dowels are in the back of the engine block.

I called D&D and they said it does sit a little farther over to the passenger side.
I guess ill just have to trim the shifter boot a little.

I also did not install the H pipe hanger bracket between the trans and trans mount. Should this cause any problems? maybe the tail shaft will sit too low?
