trans. oil question

i've tried the search engine and couldn't find anything to answer my quesiton.. my question is how often should i change my tranny oil.. its a 2001 5 speed and has 67000 miles on it.. dont know if the dealer changed it or not when i bought the car a year ago.. and should i just stick with OEM or sythic oil.. its all stock except cat back and K&N air filter.. thanks again..

Dont use syn oil...just use dexron III

about 30k miles is what is called for. i do mine every year. i use Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF.

I have heard many people say GM Synchromesh fluid is the way to go. 5-Speed only, but supposedly a very good fluid.
