trans or clutch problem

I hear the knock sound only if I am under the car or in a closed area. It is comming from the back bottom end of the engine. When I engage the clutch at idle and the car is still in neutral the sound disappears. That is why I assume it is something with the clutch or transmission that is making the sound but I could be wrong.

New King Cobra clutch kit was installed 8 months ago.

Might need to post a sound clip to get any intelligent responses. At this point we would just be guessing what the knock sounds like, and where it's coming from. Get a stethoscope and make it knock, then just listen and feel and see if you can narrow down the area.

Has it been making the noise since you got the clutch installed? What did you have before, stock? Professionally installed?
