I was just wondering if it was possible to change my auto in my 89 GT to a manual? And if it is then would it be best to go with a stock 5 speed or something else?

Lots of guys have done it here on Stangnet. Use the search function with 5 Speed or T5 conversion as the search string. If you can afford the extra $$$, use a Tremec TKO 500 or 600 instead of a T5.
