Im installing the kit and a trans cooler soon. Are there any parts in the tranny I should replace while the valve body is out of the car? Either for maint. or performance?
The car has around 200k on her, Thanx.

I'm sure some guys that know a lot more about this than me will chime in, but i believe you will want to change the 1-2 and 2-3 accumulators while you are doing the shift kit install (I believe this will be around $20.) Go to the website below and check out the "Shift Kits" link and read up on some additional things you may want to replace. Hope this helps. http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny/index.html#

assuming this is an aod-e and not a regular aod i completely agree, you will definately want to replace the accumulators since this was even recommended by ford to all trans shops (ford knows the ones they put in stock sucked anyways) i guess as far as the valvebody goes, there isnt a lot more to replace except for maybe the gasket seals and orings... im not an expert either but i had my aod-e rebuilt a year or two back and i had him upgrade a few things while he was at it
