TKO 500/600 or if you have a decent amount of money, a T56.

I would suggest a KB if your only hitting the track every now and then...

I'd say a Kenne Bell for the supercharger and a TKO 600.

Shouldn't need a new ECU, stock one is fine. I would say the blower depends on your driving habits. If you want to be in boost from around 2k rpm on up, go with the kb. If you got a centri blower, like a vortech, you can pretty much stay out of boost around town (under 3k rpm), but it's there when you need it. That would be my personal choice, since gas isn't exactly cheap and there isn't always a need to be in boost.

You must also consider that the stock 302 block was not made for 500+ hp. It depends on how often and how hard you will drive it. It might cause issues later on but you should be ok if properly take care of it; don't kill you car everytime you drive it.

For a knock down, no holds barred, brute force of a race, i'd go with the centrifrugal (if i can spell it right ). If you have the correct combo of supporting parts then it should already drive strong without boost. But when the boost kicks in at higher rpm... Mmmmm!

On the other hand, the KB will make your car feel like it has big block engine. Boost is already there all the time from as little as 2000rpm, i believe. Fun factor is awesome! BUT you'll need better suspension to support the boost at low rpm or you'll spin the tires like there's no end.

The KB blower is also more expensive. I look at it as the "Mercedes Benz" of superchargers. Nicely made and great quality! Like a work of art, almost.

I personally went with the Vortech SQ-Trim (centri). When you mash the pedal and rpms build up and THEN the boost... Man, it feels awesome!

Transmission - TKO600. Stronger metal is always good. It will also withstand the the pounding a supercharger will put on it. A good clutch is also important. Centerforce Dual Friction seems like the mainstay but a King Cobra clutch would also do well.

TKO 600, centrifical style blower, Ive seen first hand KB's on 5.0s and they arnt impressive, nothing near that of a KB cobra.

Centrificals are more well suited for 5.0s since they already make good torque down low, and dont need the help of a twin screw s/c. Whereas a 4.6L could use the lowend help.

I've had my vortech on my car for about 3k. My stock tranny is starting to feel the pain from the blower. Whenever I row through the gears at WOT it will tend to whine really really loud afterwards. I want to take it to the track to get new numbers out of it, but I know the tranny won't last. I'll be getting a tko 600 next year

hell yeah, I just put a 600 in my car at the beginning of september, you wouldnt belive the difference better gear ratios make.

Btw, get the road race option, I love it. Ppl complain about the regular 600's, b/c the rpms drop like crazy in 5th gear.

Im actually considering the road race version being that I don't drive the car daily anymore. I have a few questions about your trans. What do you tach on the highway in 5th (65-75)? Also, how do the gear ratios in the 600 compare to the stock t-5? what gears are in your rear end?
