Transmission mount problems

I installed my k-member and want to use the back slot to mount my engine. The only problem is this pushes the tranny back and now my tranny mount will not align with the tranny support. The tranny mount hangs over the tranny support.

I then moved the engine to the front slot and now my vortech pully hits the fan motor and I will need to order a new fan. I would like to keep the old fan because of the amount of CFM it flows.

I was wondering if any one has had this problem and is there a way to modify the tranny mount so I can use the back slot on the k member. How about a 86-93 mustang tranny mount. I need the tranny mount to move back about 1 inch. Can anyone help.

what kind of k-member?

i would try to weld up a plate to the tranny mount that pushes the holes back to where you need them. i don't know about the fox mount being any different or helpful. maybe check a junkyard for one.

I got another crossmember from the junkyard and cut out the center section (with the bolt holes). I cut my stock one at the rear, and welded them together and added some bracing. Worked like a charm.

I have also seen people use a piece of flat stock welded to the topand new holes drilled.

What about your driveshaft length now?

The drive shaft lenght is fine. Im goona have to use the front mounting holes on the k member because the steering shaft is rubbing on the motor mount when I use the back mounting slot. I need to find a way to modify the mounting of the radiator to push it forward to clear my vortech putty. Any suggestions. I need to move the radiator up about 1/2 an inch.
