if it was low fluid it should slip all the time, not just when warm. i had my auto rebuilt twice in the first year of owning the car. after the second time it started slipping and jumping gears on me i gave up and did the aod-e to t5 swap. 4 years later and still no transmission related troubles. sorry i wasnt of much assistance, but the only thing that worked for me was removing the problem and not replacing it.

Jack Daniels Black Label...
It sounds like a clutch pack that's burnt. Probably need to replace the seals as well as the clutches and if you do, gowith the Red Alto clutch pack. If the surfaces have glazed over, then it'll slip just like a clutch in a stickshift. Have that checked out. Since it's an AODE, it'll probably be a little more expensive than the AOD but not by much.

Why on earth aren't you taking it back to the place that rebuilt it? This should be fixed for FREE.

That does sound like the easy thing to do.

Swapping for a T5 may trade one set of problems for another, not counting the $ involved.

Try the easy stuff first.

the fox t5 will work but because of the input shaft length you will need to use the fox bellhousing and clutch fork as well. a driveshaft spacer will also be required. aside from that stuff you will need the tranny harness, 5spd eec (not necessary but highly recommended for driveability reasons), the pedal assembly, clutch cable, clutch assembly, flywheel, dust shield, shifter, shifter bezel, and pilot bearing. off the top of my head, that list seems complete. i will double check it tomorrow when im 100% awake.

I don't have money to burn, so I would take it to a REPUTABLE tranny shop for an "estimate". Or take it back where it came from and ask them what they recommend. You don't have to get it fixed there, and I wouldn't if they tell you their rebuild is shot and it needs to be done again.

Personally I would consider:

Drop a corner of the pan, drain the fluid, put a new filter in it. New gasket on the pan, and seal that baby up. Lookin' at around 50 bucks if you get the cheap fluid. It's been a year and a half, changing the filter isn't a bad idea even if that's not the problem.

I was thinking that the filter might have fallen off in mine too, but have not checked.

Do you have any other symptoms?

After my car is driven some then you let off the gas peddel it will downshift kind of harsh, and it act weird. (like trying to downshift of something)

Dang man were you two quarts low when you started or are you now two quarts over filled? Do you see it leaking - transmission fluid doesn't evaporate. Having an overfull transmission is no good.

I would bring that thing to the shop that rebuilt it and see what they have to say before things get worse!
