Transmission Pressure Booster?

So I'm digging through the garage today, cleaning out my "left-over" parts area, when I came across this "PressureRiser" for the 4R70W. Apparently, it increases the pressure in the transmission (hence "PressureRiser").

It came with a Performace Auto rebuild kit, and I'm a little leery about installing it. Anyone heard of this?

It's a little white box with two wires coming out of the end, it just attaches on the main harness running to the transmission.

One of my friends up'd the pressure in his tranny in his 95 Mercury Cougar XR7 and it hit alot harder through 1, 2, and 3. It really helped out alot. I don't know any of the ramifications of it though.

you can also have the pressure raised with a chip. but check out the Jerry mod. it's what the guy who designed the 4R70W recommends.

I've already done the jerry mod, well worth the effort I might add, so I'm just going to install the thing and let you guys know what happens.

I wouldn't mind having to get a T-56...
