I would run it if I was you. You want to keep crap out of the clutch area.

I don't know if you think $55 is too expensive or not, but I bought mine for that price from Modern Driveline (they specialize in 5 speed conversions for classic Mustangs and Fords). Do a google search and you should be able to find it.
i see what you are saying. Maybe they are only showing the automatic pic but they also make a standard one. anyways here is another one.
