TRANSMISSION WHINE?!?!?!

so went to the track today and afterwards now my transmission whines 1st 2nd and 3rd. Maybe its not even the transmission but there is a whine like if i have a supercharger going thru 1st 2nd and 3rd. anything anyone??????!!!! please help

only hear whine when accelerating in 1st 2nd and 3rd. not when at idle or in neutral. not an a/c whine either.

do you have a stock shifter? if you have an aftermarket short throw shifter sometimes with the lack of insulation on the shifter base you can hear some whine from the transmission.

stock shifter, bone stock everything. went today to get some starting times

Mine has been doing that for about 3000 kms now. I have changed fluids, tried different brands, different shifters, it's just there.

I just got used to it now.

If you find out a solution (or if its actually a problem), please post here as I'd like to "fix" mine too.

did u miss a shift? if u missed a shift going into 2nd or 3rd and ****ed a syncro u could be hearing that. if not it could just be the car has never been beat on(which i highly doubt) and its breaking in a bit. how many miles on the car? if its not difficult to get the car into 2nd or 3rd i would not worry about it; you will find that mustangs make all kinds of noises.

your gonna be shocked the first time u hear the car running with tb/intake/ air filter mods lol.

try doing a tranni fluid change with GM Syncromesh. Tremec recommends it when you have a noisy tranni.

will do, its under warranty so i have an appointment next tues for them to take a look at it.

Awesome, keep us posted. My car has been doing it for quite some time now and I just gave up on trying to fix it. Already tried the GM Syncromesh when the issue first came up, didnt solve it.

SSOoooooo news from ford was that the sound is normal, they looked at everything and concluded it was just the tranny doing its thing. But due to customer concern they extended my warrenty an additional 6 months and if in fact something does come up then they will replace it. sounds sketchy to me so im thinking of just breaking it to get a new one anyway
