Drivetrain Transmission

Hi all, I have a 1999 mustang GT 5 speed trans, I was driving a couple days ago when I heard a small pop noise and now there is a awful roaring noise that goes away when I push in the clutch, also there is no noise while out of gear, any help would be really appreciated.

Engine running, clutch in..no noise?
Engine running, clutch out in neutral..no noise?
Driving slowly in gear does it make the noise? and then when clutch in, goes away?

If car is running out of gear it doesn't make it,. Once I have it in gear driving it makes the noise then when I Press the clutch to change gears it the noise goes away, when I let the clutch out it starts doing it again,. It almost sounds like when you has a card in a bicycle wheel

You are going to need to pull the trans out and replace the broken or cracked bearing
Input bearing most likely
You need to think to yourself
What changes in the trans when you push on the clutch?
The input bearing quits spinning
It likely has a cracked outer race
Real common
Good luck
