I have a 2000 3.8L Coupe that the tranny "whines" in 1st and 2nd gear only at a steady rpm of 2500 and above. It doesn't "whine" until I hit that rpm. The other 2000 3.8L I have doesn't do it.
manual or auto? I have a manual and I have a similar problem. It whines a little bit, not too loud though. I just put royal purple synchromax in it, quieted it down a bit. Any good syn should work.
