Hey i have a tremac in the 93. It's very hard to hit 1st to 2nd, i am using a center force dual friction clutch. Here are a couple pics of the clutch and fly wheel from when i did some work last winter. Do you guy's think it's time for a clutch or to tear into the tranny to see whats going on? I use GM syncromesh tranny fluid witch is recomended by tremac themself.

There were T5's marked Tremec, because the same company made them. The T5's still used Dextron/Mercon ATF.
The 3550 is a different animal, and uses the GM Syncromesh
here's a picture of the 3550/TKO trans...

I AM the law!!!
If you are having problems with engagement then I would look to the clutch cable adjustment, pressure plate fingers, and/or bearing retainer - before breaking into the trans. Can you post pics of the fingers and retainer?
I did put it back in with that fly wheel it was mated to it and i was told it should be fine? I'm having problems with hitting 1st to 2nd. It dosent feel like it wants to go in gearunless you granny shift it? I have an adjustable firewall adjuster quadrant and steeda slick cable.peace

There are plenty of aftermarket choices out there. UPR, ford racing even summit has a cable. If you already have a firewall adjuster the stock non adjustable will even work fine.
Me personally, run a Micro-click kit with the stock non adjustable cable.

When I talked to Steeda about their cable, they told me that they supply FRPP with theirs. So if the Steeda one is Korean crap...
