I have a Tremac T-5 I believe it is an HD unit. The question I have is about grinding when the trans is cold. If my car sits outside over night or for an extended amount of time were the temps are below 45 deg when you get and drive the shift between 1-2 and 2-3 will grind at any rpm above 1200 it will stop after the trans warms up (if you clutch it and let the rpms fall back to idle between gears it sometimes will not grind). It didn’t do this the last few years just started this year. I changed the fluid thinking that was the problem, but it didn’t help. I used ATF dextron fluid as required. I have heard that you should run GM synchromesh fluid but I was trying to see if you guys think fluid is the problem or is it something else. The only other trans mods I have are a Pro 5.0 shifter. Any advice would be great.
