Tremec 3550

When you look at the CM, the tubes on each side that mount to the frame are spot welded to the center section. Cut these spot welds, then tap the tubes FORWARD, or in other words tap the center section what would be backwards if the CM was bolted to the frame. Make sense? Basically, it's going to bolt in the exact same place, the only difference is the Tremec mounts a little further back than the T5 does, and you need to slide it back on the tubes in order to make it work. Install the trany, mount everything up and then spot weld it again when you're done and you'll be set.

Thanks for the info, I will try that.

Where I circled... You slot those FURTHER back towards the back of the car, and that will give you enough space to bolt up the mount to the crossmember from the 3550. It moves it back like 1 inch, maybe 1.5 inches... This way, you don't have to cut the tack welds on round bushing shells, move it back, and have it rewelded. Just slot it with a dremel, a drill bit, or something simliar... It worked fine for me.
