Tremec/Hurst shifter stick
I just installed a brand new, out of the box Tremec TKO 500 in my '88 Mustang GT. It came with a Hurst shifter installed, but no stick or knob was included. When I tried to use the stick from the T-5 that I removed, it will not fit. I tried everything, but unless it is sleeved with two 3/8" I.D. sleeves after removing the rubber dampener, it will not bolt up to this new Tremec's Hurst shifter.
Does anyone know what Hurst shift lever (part number) will fit this application? I think the shifter Tremec installed is a Hurst p/n 3915070.
I asked the Mr. Gasket (they own Hurst) tech line via e-mail, but no answer yet. I can't find a phone number for Mr. Gasket's Tech service either.
