Tri-Ax getting sloppy

Since I bought my car it has had Steeda's Tri-Ax shifter in it. I have never really checked it out, just know it's there from pulling the plastic housing for the boot to fix the cigarette lighter. Lately the shifter has been feeling very sloppy and going for gears is a little more difficult because of how loose it feels. I've noticed in neutral the shifter rocks back and forth a bit more then it used to before you actually start tugging on the linkage. It just sort of flops back and forth about a good inch or so. Anyway due to this I'm getting choppy gear changes when I shift quickly, is there a bushing of some sort or something that could wear out over time and make my shifter loosen up? Or anything for that matter that would make the shifter have more play in it?

Take the shifter off and fully check it out, make sure everything is tight. If it is, then most likely you have to look at the tranny.

Im kinda in the same boat.......just has a bit more play in it in neutral than it did new. I have about 40,000 miles on the tri-ax. If i can pull it this week to take a look. I may try buying another.
