All I can say is WOW. I installed the handle in the lower position for shortest throw, and it makes a huge difference. The shifts are clean and precise (not sloppy like the stocker) and just overall feels so much better. If you have a 5 speed and haven't installed an aftermarket shifter, do it now!

pull off plastic around shifter, pull off shifter knob and boot, unbolt shifter, bolt on new shifter, set shifter stops, reassemble the rest.

total time: 30 minutes.

if i did it, anyone can.

Go with either. They are both great products. I have the Pro 5.0 base with the Tri-ax handle. The Pro 5.0 handle is a little too short for my arms. I have to reach forward to put it in 5th gear. Anyway can't go wrong with any of the two. Just personal preference.
