I just got done searching the boards and found all kinds of stuff on the stage 1 cam. The thing is that I will be pulling the engine out of my project car soon (93 5.0) and being it is a project car it is not a daily driver. Would I be better off getting a stage 2 cam? I plan on getting some thumper heads and all of the other stuff to go along with it (injecters, maf, intake. ect.) I want something with a real nice lope to it but nothing that will surge like crazy or you have to worry about the car dying at stop lights. If you have any sound clips of the stage 2 or have any experience with them please post your opinion on them. Thanks a lot guys

P to v clearance on the stage II may be tight with the stock pistons - it's non-existant with the II on the intake side w/E7's on a buddy's 86 flat top motor.

played with a stage II car (cam, TFS heads, TFS intake, etc) that wouldn't idle. Sounded too lumpy and just sucked for driving. Did a lot of work just to make it run.

Ok so just get the stage 1 and forget about it right? Thumper recomends it, it idles well, still lopes a little, so sounds like that is what I am going to get. Thanks for your help, having a car that can't be driven just because of a cam is not what I want. Stage 1 it is.
