Trick flow twisted wedge or afr 185's on...

When i do my 347 stroker motor...what do you think is the best set of heads to put on...trick flow twisted wedge heads, and afr 165's 185's are also good from what i hear. Its gonna be a stroker 347 for awhile with just intake,cam,t.b,all the add ons...until i maybe consider a ati procharger. Thanks

AFR, nothing beats them! Plus you can get them with the 58cc chambers.

may be late but here are the flow numbers AFR 165 @ .600 lift is 245 CFM intake 191 CFM exhaust, Trickflow Twisted Wedge 251/193, and AFR 185 277/191. AFR does their tests at a .060 over bore (so there will be higher flow numbers) and 1 3/4" pipe http://www.airflowresearch.com/ http://www.trickflow.com/product/fordcylinderheads/twisted_wedge/pr_twisted_airflow.asp So your decision maybe more difficult. I've heard that when AFR 185 are used with power adders they are very efficient.

i would go with afr aswell. never heard a bad thing about them and they seem to be the cream of the crop for now atleast.

I just got the 185's for the same reason, I am going 347 sometime next year. For now, it's piston notching time.

AFR has been extremely helpful, knowledgable on the phone, and there guys were even better in person at FFW Orlando. The instructions with the heads are excellent, listing everything required/suggested for installation. Smog passage inserts included. If they work half as well as everything else, they should be good.

I just put AFR 185s on my new 306. Really happy with the setup, and they work very well with my Vortech.

I just bought a set of AFR 185's today. Don't forget to look into the spring upgrade if you are running a higher lift cam (above .500). With the spring upgrade and Rev valves the 185's cost me just over $1500 shipped, not cheap but if you look around you can probably get them cheaper I bet. Good luck!
