Anyone had any luck with the new Trick Flow engine kits?
I was looking at going with one of those, then a supercharger, and then eventually rebuilding the engine when the time comes (bored, possibly stroked, and all forged).
I talked to the guy who does the major mechanical work for me and he said he wouldn't get Trick Flow stuff as he had a set of heads tear up an engine on him and one of his buddies said he had the same experience. Has anyone heard of this happening? I didn't actually come forth and say this to them, but I figured it's because they were mixing and matching components, and doesn't Trick Flow hihgly disapprove of this?

A Friend of mine just put all those parts on his 90 gt and it has a vortech a trim also , the cars does not stop spinning the whole way into 4th gear it's an animal the only thing he didn't use in the kit is the cam and i would recomend you do the same get a cam with like 114 lsa and you will be set. his car ran 12's last year with stock ported heads and intake so it should go 11's this year the new trick flow stuff is good just make sure you get the valvetrain geometry right and oyu will be fine and if you get the push rods with the kit that should help a bunch with that .

Never heard of that before, I wouldent consider them to much of a realible source. I have had 3 friends that are running Trick Flow heads on there car(or when they had it before it was sold, only 1 still has the car now) and there awesome heads. They did have probs but those issues w/ the TW heads were fixed long ago. Its a great kit to get and its alot cheaper then buying all the parts seperatly.

He said he remebers it from a while ago. I told him this was a package deal that they (TF) put together, so everything should work out fine. I think I'm going to go ahead and get it anyways...not a bad deal...$2K for 350HP
