Hello all, im new to the site. I just got my mustang a couple months ago and havent really posted anything on here just been gathering info. Anyways i was thinking about getting tfs twisted wedge top end engine kit. Would this be a good kit to run or is there something better for the price and what am i gooing to need as far as fuel. thanks

the kits they make are very good now the fuel depends on which kit you get. The compression plays a big role in it any thing over 10 - 1 I would use a racing fuel anything below that 93 octane is just fine.

I ran decent with the out of the box TFS package. I managed a 12.8 @ 107 shifting early with it. That was awith a too small 65mm tb and junk shorty headers. Driving, 75mm tb and LT's would have made it faster. I have the TFS street intake since the track heat is overkill for the TFS 1 cam unless you put that cam on a retarded centerline and gear it accordingly. I've seen that cam pull to 6500 when degreed retarded on a 112 centerline I believe. I think that car ended up running 11.90 @ 114 on a fresh 306 with 10.5:1 (pump gas friendly) and a track heat intake. I also managed 304hp/339tq with a cool down. Like I said before, LT's and a 75mm TB would have done more.
