Hey guys
I pulled the 5.0L, tranny, interior out of my 88 stang last week
and I plan on getting the motor rebuilt over the winter, and the shell is going to a body shop for the winter, for a complete restoration

Now I was planning on sending it to a machine shop, to get the bottom end rebuilt back to either stock, or put some hypers in it for pistons
And ordering the Trick Flow track heat set-up for my top end set-up
This motor will never be boosted, it's gunna stay N/A

now do I have to do the MAF sensor up-grade to run it?
Can I use my stock injectors?
What lifters should I use?

Anything else I should know before starting on this project?
Does this sound like a good set up, or is there another road I should venture down. My goal is to get this car in the high 11's, or low 12's......being I don't want a point and shot car, I wanna Autocross it aswell

Thanks for reading
Cameron

Yes and no.Mass Air would probably be the cheapest way to go.You could do a PMS, Tweecer, or FAST(overkill). Or you could have a tune done with the Speed Density, which would cost more than Mass Air, and wouldn't get the same drivability and gas mileage characteristics as mass air.

I use stock injectors with my TW heads, but I'm also only running the stock cam w/1.6 RR's so they're not flowing up to their potential. My next project is upgrading my injectors to 24#'s and getting a chip to remap the fuel curve. HotRod has a really good article this month where they do a HCI dyno buildup on a 5.0, its a really good article check it out- although I'd rather they used the trick flow stuff than the Edelbrock heads and intake...
