After i had my gears installed i've been getting this ABS light on the dash. No idea why, so my X-cal2 just got here and its showing a P1233 FPDM Code. I'd imagine its ABS related of course, but not sure what. An old brick snap-on scanner said there was a problem with my RR ABS sensor "receiving no input". But its plugged in.

Maybe the sensor is dirty? Can someone give me some more info on the code? I dont see how removing the ABS sensor and plugging it back in for hte gear install would KILL the sensor. So im a little confused

I hit a couple of websites and I keep getting this response

P1233 Fuel Pump Driver Module off-line

so I don't know if you have had anyone poking around in there but I'd take it back and give them a tongue lashing. Have no clue as to why the ABS light is on.

Yeah the ABS light is on and its giving me that code. Something doens't seem right.... This all happened after a Gear install...

Along with the ABS light, its also disableing my traction control.

The X-cal2 only scans the PCM, it will not scan the ABS module or any of the other modules in the car.

If you are getting a RR abs sensor code then most likely the sensor is bad, this is sort of common on all fords. If you want to be sure you can check all the wirring up to the sensor and see if it's fine.

it's most likely the sensor. you may have damaged it during the gear install.

Yeah i priced one out from a parts store i get discounts at. They can get me the Motorcraft sensor for $47. So i may just buy one and install it later in the week.

I'm wondering if ABS sensors is a "replace the broken one" fix, or is it one of those "replace both rear sensor" fixes??
