5-speed in my 2.3l 94 ranger....comeing home the other day it started geting rough didnt want to go into gear. almost didnt make it home now sitting in the parking lot of my apt it will go through the gears smooth as butter with the motor OFF. as soon as i start the motor up and try to put it in gear its like a solid wall and grinds going into rev. BUT!!! if i put it in first or reverse i can move it around. my first guess was a air bubble in the slave cyl. i have bled it maybe 5 times but havent used up a bottle of dot3 brake fluid yet. looking in through the tranny fins i can see the stuff move around inside when the clutch is pressed and let out. so whats the deal?? am i in the right direction?? ooh and the tranny has 60k on it with a new clutch and slave cyl put in at 230k it has 250k on it now.
