On the inside, still not sur why you need steel to do this.

I used vac hose and zip ties and has 4K miles with ZERO problems.

Dam car is in the shop or I would show you.............

I want to do this mod , too, but wouldn't the throttle cable flex and get fatigued ( and possibly break) if not held in a rigid casing like nylon or steel ? How long have you been driving your car with the vacuum hose deal ?

Ya need to check out this old thread from MD. They have a machined aluminum spacer that fits wonderfully. No cable flex, so no chance of cable stress and breakage. I think now you have to call MD for the part.

I bought this and it works very well. No stress on the cable because of the design. I know a couple months back he was having some trouble getting his machinist to make some more. Highly recommend this route. Cost me maybe $7?

I didn't realize how bad this was until I got into my car on the way home from work. Yesterday, on my lunch break, I spent about 30 minutes or so doing some "spirited driving". Everything seemed fine until I went to go home. For some reason my pedal felt only about 3 inches off the floor when it used to feel like 5 inches or so. Then I spent the trip home thinking I busted something cause there was so much play. I was certain my pedal was preventing WOT.
I am going to look at another new stang on the lot at work today to see what that setup looks like cause I am certain there is something else different now. Either my pedal bent or something. Unless, like everything else in my life, this is all in my head.
