Mine goes in tomorrow for an "inspection", then they will order parts. My dealer tells me TSB work is always a 2 visit deal. I'm going to see if they'll install my pro-kit since the springs are going to be off anyway, and pay him for the rears and an alignment.

they installed my steeda pro kit during front end fix. since my bud was the mech no charge . you may have some fees due to the fact that you will also 1. need rear springs swapped it took 20 min
2. alignment toe and camber, caster was ok they will need to pre order the camber kit about 40 bucks due to the fact that the mustang has no adjustment. it is a good kit 2 cambed bolts per side just replace existing bolts allowing adjustment. complete deal, replacment and alignment took about 2 hours. im a vendor so while i was fixing a couple of things for them the work was done no more popping ride is great and handles great. at my mustang meeting last night i was next to a GT at the fender well front i was 1 1/4 lower and rear 1" lower. he has 17"bullets and i have 16" alum polished.
here is a post from the other day http://forums.stangnet.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34172

Can anyone tell me if the tsb fix for the popping also takes care of that annoying clunking noise in the front end. Is that what the isolator is for?, or is this a seperate issue.

I also have the same clunking from the front end. It's noticeable at slow speeds going over small bumps. Seems to happen with any input to the left or right.

My dealer will not install my lowering springs while performing the TSB. They fed me the line of no non-FORD parts can be installed. I guess they won't be getting my future business.

My was built 4/05/05, I have 1,100 miles in it and so far no problems, hopefully will stay that way, but just in case I copied the PDF file of the TSB

My dealer agreed to install the Eibachs on the front at no charge, I will have to pay for the rears and the alignment.

gotta expect stuff like this on the first model year of a car, esp. when so much of it is all new. look at the focus, for example. they've been building and selling US models since the 2000 model year. because of all the TSBs and recalls teh car had it's first 2 years (model years 00-01), they are on a number of top 10 worst used cars. by 02, Ford had fixed nearly all the issues, and now the 02 and up focus is a top 10 best used car. go figure.

personally, this is why i'm waiting until at least the 07 model year (maybe 08 to see if there are any S/Es)

I took mine in earlier this week with the TSB for the front end. Thanks to karazuba for posting the pdf. Unfortunately, I think they took it for a joy ride. I forgot to write down the exact mileage, but when I dropped if off to them I had a quarter tank and when I picked it up I had an eight of a tank. That's like 30 miles give or take. I can't envision why they needed to drive it for so long just to check out a problem experience when "turning left or right a low speeds". The only conclusion I can come up with is a joy ride. I think I'm going to tell them that I don't want them driving it off the lot when the check the repair. Driving it around their lot should suffice.
