Anyone know if a TSB was ever issued for the pinging problem on '01 Cobras? This issues seems to be getting worse on my snake (maybe due to the increasingly warm weather). I use the max available octane in CA (91) and have tried higher octane additives. Nothing helps. I only hear the ping under load during full throttle or high rpms. Just cruising it seems fine.
And as an afterthought, would a TSB still be honored even though my warranty has expired?
I've done some searching - many have mentioned the ping as a common problem for the '01s but I have yet to find a solution. I'm hoping no engine damage is being done.
Thanks for the help.

and the same conditions that you have said.I have put in 94 octane that you can get in canada
and wow what a differance, smoother idle crisp resonse etc. and NO pinging!!!! now on the other hand it is $1.05 canadian a liter so that equals out to just under $4.00 us a gallon.also I have been beating the living crap out of my 01 cobra for the last 30,000 miles and the engine is still as sound as it ever was it has 50,000 on it now
