My 392 is broke in finally and I need to get it tuned. Called the tuner here and he said that he could check A/F ratio but I'll he could do is the timing and the fuel pressure without an aftermarket ECU like PMS or Tweecer or any of those. Is this true? He can't burn a custom chip for me?

thanks in advance

95's can take a chip just like any 87-04 Mustang can. The EFI on Mustangs is known as Multi point injection. Tune port I believe is what came on the 85 automatic Mustangs. Its an emissions setup not too good for performance. I think you might want to find another tuner.

Maybe he meant he can't do UNTIL you get a chip. But really, he ought to be able to provide the chip if he is a tuner. Right?

I'd look elsewhere too.

You would think he would be able to burn a chip for it. I just got off the phone with JMS chip and they said they do it all the time but I know they are heavy into mustang chip burning.

The tuner here sounds like a chevy guy:notnice:

If I'm reading your post correctly ...... it looks to me like your saying he told you all he could do is use mechanical means to adjust your fuel ratio and spark UNLESS he had a self tuning interface (PMS, Tweecer, etc). So up to this point he is correct. Basically hes saying he can twist the dizzy and raise or lower the fuel pressure if you got an afpr but that is all he can do cause you got no way to talk to the pcm.

He should be able to burn you a chip for your car if he has the equipment.
