TUNER OR TUNE?

Ok, we have a newbie to the 5.0EFI..... first of all, try caps off.
A chip? Why? Ummm, first of all, you don't need any custom stuff done. This is not an OBDII car, this is EEC-IV, and it adapts and is not set with the strict limits of the OBD computers. Yes, the newer cars benifit greatly, but not ours. The A9L is extremely adaptable, and will do more than what you need. Why do you think you need injectors upgraded?
You can have this done, but I don't know what you expect to get from it besides less money. In the mean time, try advancing the timing a few degrees, I am running 15* initial and using 93 octane.

didnt know if the fox's can have a chip. ive got the headers on and will Do a cam swap soon with new intake. But I'm new to the fox style stangs.. right now it is factory with the flowmasters and headers I just put on,long tube of course.. but just wasnt sure if one of the eliminator chips would do anything.. and yeh im def a newbie to fords, grew with chevys ad mopars..
Don't worry about a tune or custom chip with just headers. Now if you do the heads, cam, add a power adder then a tune is necessary. Currently you don't have enough mods to warrant one right now. Welcome and read up.

Ideally, you want a custom dyno-tune chip vs an off-the shelf chip. Research the cost of a SCT chip with dyno tuning time and you'll see that that $500+ is better off spent on other mods first.

Sounds good.. to be honest Ive always just ran a cam,headers,head, combo...im actualy thinking about the rear mount turbo... i put one on my S10 i had and man it was crazy.. but Im not trying to get crazy for now. just a little more power ...nice and easy mods..

Not sure.car is.easier than all these emission stuff. I'm having such a hard time getting it to idle right.car is a easy tune and go.these idle issues are killing me.still considering it..just not sure how easy it would be to swap to carb,intake....I know I need a intake and garb.but don't wanna do it if it cost to much more.
