Tuner ?

With my setup below is it worth it if I purchased a SCT-2? I have already found out that the Diablo is pretty much worthless. Currently I have the speed calibrator installed but if I can get some more horses out of the tuner Ill go with that. I have searched and searched threads already discussing this topic....but mostly all I find are people with AUTOs who are asking the same question...Is the tuner useless for a manual? I obviously dont have to worry about shift points etc etc. Are there other things that I can tweak to my advantage?...octane settings?....air/fuel mix.... deal or no deal?

Thats funny that you found out that Diablo was worthless....

The software is only as good as the best tuner you have access to. Do some research in your local area for a reputable Mustang tuner. See what they use. You will see some gains from SCT or Diablo with NO MODS, so yes with your current mods it wouldnt be an issue. And you can sell your speed cal when you get one.

with the SCT-2, you can alter a/f ratio and timing in percentages. you won't have total control. SCT limits the range you can work in to protect you from yourself, so to speak.

I have a diablo on my 5 spd. It made a noticable difference. Great thottle reponse. Advanced my timing as far as it would let me. Maybe its in my head but I think the exhaust pitch sounds alittle different. I say it is worth it on 5 spd.......

well auto's do benefit more cause of the shift points adjustment and shift firmness but even a 5-speed can benefit form a tuner so go ahead and get it, also see what you local tuner guy is more familiar with so you can get a good tune
