Tuning After PI Swap

I just ordered the PI headswap jit for my 96 GT. I am pretty sure its ok to drive it with the stock computer, but know it would be better to uprade. Just woundering what you guys did? I am thinking about gatting a custom burnt diablosport chip. There is really no dyno tuning around me, so that is not really an option. Suggestions

Uh yea for sure get it custom tuned. I had my car tuned with my current Stock NON PI motor and it did wonders. The baseline run was 202hp and after the tune 238. So dont piddle around with the stock computer settings, GET A CUSTOM TUNE ON A DYNO. It was with out a dobut the best 500 bucks I have spent as of yet. My car had so many bolt-on parts full exhaust, PI intake, tb, coldair, massair, plenum, ect...........the tune maxed all of my boltons for the highest hp possible. I have the diablo chipmaster in my car and will have it retuned when the new built PI motor goes in next month (December) hopeing for another 70+ at the wheels.

i didn't get a tune after my PI swap. I bet it would be even better with one...i am waiting to put in new cams first. You can get a really good mail order tune from MPH or ModDepot if you tell them your exact setup. And go with SCT over Diablo..you'll find more tuners using it.
