so i have a question for you guys, since i am new to tunes (i am an ASE certified tech) i know everytime you mod something you need to tune to make it work properly, but say you install something like an X pipe and get a tune, now you have a few more bucks so you get a CAI, you need to retune. my question for you is how much does it cost to retune, or if you buy a tune that comes with a new part how can you incorporate the tunes, i know they are not cheap. please enlighten me

for example: buy a CAI/tuner from brenspeed. then buy more mods from brenspeed, brenspeed will update your tune for free. if you bought the tune and/or the parts from somewhere else, you will have to pay extra for the tune.

cost depends on the tuner.

I have a canned SCT X-Cal II tuner which is called Strategy Flash tuner, with this setup ? I can install a cold air intake, axle back exhaust, CMCV delete plates or any other simple bolt-on's without requiring a custom or dyno tune..However ? in the future if I should want to add a supercharger, change heads, cams or even long tube headers ? then anything major along those lines will require a custom tune.. Anyway, hope this answers your concerns..Also as bigcat stated, if you purchase your tuner/CAI combo from Brenspeed and later decide to add more mod's ? Brent will update your tuner at no additional charge..And Doug from bamachips will also update your tuner via e-mail as well..As for my Strategy Flash tuner ?? yes all parameters are preset right out the box and you also have the ability to modify and adjust them, if you chose to do so..
