Well I am kinda new to all the new technology the S197's have compared to an old pushrod motor. I have an 07 C/S GT and it has very few mods that include JLT CAI, STEEDA AXLEBACK STEEDA UDP AND A XPIPE and I have been using the stock sct 93 tune and i ordered a tune from Vmp and I dont know if I should be disappointed or it is reality but I really cant tell much difference in the car. I was told the tune was for throttle power and driveability. Should I be able to tell the difference between an Vmp tune and a stock sct tune? When I ordered the tune I told him i wanted a 93 tune and as aggressive as possible without giving up driveability. I also mentioned I was not really worried with mpg. Any suggestions would be great.

Why not contact VMP and tell them you don't feel a difference between the 2.

The CAI, Exhaust, and tune may give you 20 hp. You are not really going to feel much of a difference with this level of increase. If you really want to feel of a difference, then you might want to consider changing rear end ratios (3:73 or 4:10), or go with forced induction, or NOS. Those mods you will feel!

But regardless of mods shouldnt there be a noticable difference between a stock sct tune and a custom tune? As far as a blower I have been looking into but i have a 95 turbo charged 347 that consumes alots of my time.

I'm wondering if you actually have a "stock" SCT 93 tune, as you have the JLT CAI which requires a tune for the larger MAF housing. It's likely that you have a tune from one of the more common tuners who may have also sold the CAI to the original owner and sent the tune w/ it. If that's the case, then you're not going to see that much of a difference in performance gained between the tuners' (Bama, Brenspeed, VMP...etc) 93 tune for the JLT.

Did you install the JLT CAI and the required tune for it, or was it already in the car when you bought it?

Nah I bought the tuner used from a friend that had a bone stock car and then I added the cai later. At this time I am trying to get them to work with me on the tune but I am not getting any response from them.
