JR,

I had a PTK kit on my old car. THe install went good. Everything fit like it should. The quality on all the piping was awesome, i was impressed.

I bought the whole kit(minus the turbo, which i bought new) used for a relatively good price. IF you can find a used kit, i would jump all over it. You will save money, and you will have the kit in a few days, versus months.

Keep in mind that no matter what company you buy a kit new from, its gonna take months. Even if they tell you it wont, it will.

I had a sc61 turbo on it, with a .81 a/r. Single turbo is the way to go for sure. On a 302 a properly sized turbo will make a ton of power.

Never got any solid numbers on the car. It would have made 470+ rwhp easily on 93 octane.( i had afr165's, custom cam, rpm intake etc etc at the time). This is when i had all the HG issues and kinda lost interest. Looking back on it i think i had 2 or 3 bum injectors. I should have stuck with it, o well.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

I understand what you mean about waiting for a kit but thats what you get when you order from a company. Another advantage to DIY. Now I will basically let you know right now. It was a great recommendation above for a 62 trim with a .81 ar. Those are perfect for stock or close to stock applications. Go to Turbomustangs and look around the Dyno Result section. There are 2 guys that just dyno'd stock block motors with close to stock parts: one put down 611rwhp and more torque and the other put down 670rwhp. Now show me a KB that will put down those numbers on a close to stock combo. I am a huge fan of the KB's and almost got one myself but they will never make that kind of power. And those 62-1 turbos spool around 2500, which isn't much higher than a KB with its instant boost, because no one really rips hard into below 2500 anyway.

I say change it up a bit,be patient, and get a turbo. You will never regret it. Unfortunetly with me being up here at school I can't really work on multiple projects or else I would help you out just to gain another Turbo mustang and make you a kit myself. But anyways, go turbo.

P.S. Go to turbomustangs and look at the top menu and look at all the turbo kit feedbacks and that will help you towards a kit. The PTK's are great kits but there are also other great kits out there that you might be able to get made up fast or even have some on shelf to be shipped out.

I would look around, I seen used kits up for sale often over at TM.com ( classified section) for $2500-3000, and some much cheaper. Matter of fact, just last night I remember seeing a post with a DIY setup, complete, for sale for a 94/95.

If you don't have the tools, and don't really want to get into fabrication, I would just buy a used, or new kit.. Kinda sounds like what you want anyhow.

But, if your going to get rid of the Kenny Bell.. you will only be downgrading if you don't go turbocharged.

If I see a used PTK, I'm all over it.

I love the KB but this one is losing oil and I'm filling it everytime I drive it. I only take small trips of no more than 20 miles a day and coming home and finding the blower case empty concerns me.

Holy Crap, I completely forgot. I have a buddy from school that is selling his Master Power 62-1 turbo kit. His name is Stang_GT_1994 on both here and tm.com. PM him. Its a great kit and made great numbers on low boost. I believe it was around 450rwhp on like 7psi and all the way up to low 500rwhp on race gas. I believe he was asking $3000 for the whole kit which included injectors and a brand new Digital 7 ignition. PM him and tell him that Jeremy told you about it.

I think he is looking for something slightly more appealing to the eye then the kit you speak of....http://www.turbomustangs.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37282

Sure but Mark wasn't one to have a blingin bay in the first place. Grind the welds down and coat everything and it'll look good. Plus its a pass. side mount which is good for JR cause he's still running the battery up front.
I was just suggesting it because its done up and can be shipped immediately for JR's impatient likings, haha.

LOL! $$ comes and goes when investing as you know. There are good days and months and there are bad. Just very lucky that the oil market is @ historical highs and we're just riding the wave to the upside until it starts to fall and then "put" options to the downside.

Hmmmm..The last I checked, all my stocks were sunk, because of the high oil prices

(how about selling me your hood?)

Still thinking about getting that skyline or sticking with your mustang?

JR, why don't you want to make your own kit? Just not sure how to weld or dont have the time? Sorry to hear about the KB... that would be the only SC I would get for my car. Good luck in this turbo search

Jeremey
thanks for looking out but sss39 is correct. I don't mind doing a little cosmetic work to get it to look show quality but that kit will not do for me.

Zach
I got a lot of time but I don't have a welder or even know how to yet but it's next on my list of things to buy and learn.
