my friend was telling me about this exhaust tubing thats suppose ot be bendable and people are using it instead of mandrel bends for turbo setups cause its cheaper and easier to work with. anyone heard of this stuff? he called it silicone tubing? im pretty stoked cause if its true then ill be one step closer to figuring out my piping.

thanks for any info.

lol, he probably talking about that ribbed tubing you can buy from like pepboys or any place for that matter. And yes you can bend it with your hands because it's ribbed, but will probably kill the flow. Do it right, especially if this will be used do the downpipe, with all that heat it could deform sice it's not as structally stong as mandrel.

is it possible your friend was playin with you? i believe silicone metal flex-exhaust piping is something you would only find on a model (not that kind of model! rather model cars and planes. LOL).
i would not want anything with silicone in the name of something on a turbo'd exhaust. i used some real nice stuff on the KKK turbo on a Porsche i had, and i would still make that puppy glow every now and again.
just my two cents worth...:-)

are we talkin about exhaust piping or intake plumbing (like from a turbo to an intercooler)? two totally different ideas....

i think he was talkin about cold side piping

i thought you were piecing together hard pipe for the exhaust for the turbo. oops.
