I have been saving up to purchase the following:

Procharger D-1sc w/ 3 core Sheetmetal Cooler-$4,359.99
Aviater Fuel Pump-$219.99
60lb Fuel Injectors-$459.99
Mafia-$154.99

Parts-$5,194.96
Labor-$750.00
Tune-$500.00
Total-6,444.96 (not including tax)

I have been saving and I have reached a little over half. I was thinking of scrathing the supercharger idea a few weeks ago and getting a NX kit, but I decided I didn't want to do that. I have a new idea, but I dont think I could do this on a stock engine. I was looking at this:

http://www.turbochargedpower.com/96-04 Mustang.htm

I have no clue about turbos so I dont know If it can be ran on a stock motor like the procharger. What do you think?

-Would I be better of with the supercharger on the stock motor at 8lbs of boost and saving for a better built motor later and running more boost. (I dont think I could ever reach 700rwhp with a procharger)

-Can I even run a turbo on a stock motor? If not what would need done to the engine to be able to get 700 to the rear wheels safely. Please help.

Are you really sure you want to take your Mustang to 700? It will cost a lot more than $6444.96 by the way in my opinion. You will want to do suspension and maybe even body and paint work as well. I think you should consider spreading out your six large a little more and getting s/c plus suspension mods to effectively put the horsepower to the ground. Also, beyond 400 requires upgraded engine internals. Plus you will need cams, the list goes on and on. I guess what I am saying is are you sure?

I am aware of the suspension work. I know beyond 400 requires engine internals. My question is.....supercharger or turbo at low boost on stock engine for now. Upgraded engine internals later and I will see more hp from the turbo or supercharger?

Turbo is more expensive yes, but they are more efficient and you can run less boost and still make the same power as a supercharger. Turbo's also have an excellent torque curve, and you can adjust boost easily without having to purchase and swap pulleys. If you can get past the cost of it, I think you would be happier with a turbo than a supercharger. Most people would go turbo if it werent for the complex install and price.
