I have an 86 coupe with a stock 302. A friend of mine gave me his turbo from his 2006 STI. Do you think i could use it for my car with a custom instalation?!?!
If its a stock 302 it might not be too small. Ofcourse twins are actually a little easier to set up with "junk yard" parts. If you could get another one...you can swap and flip the stock headers, weld flanges on them and mount the turbos right to the end of the header. Then you just need piping and all the other crap....not a simple task.
good stuff there, but i believe those STI turbos are very small. a good setup is to run two .60/.63 T3's and i believe the STI turbos are a lot smaller than the T3's
Friend of mine is currently building my kit (89 convert). STI way to small, I'm going a 67mm Ball bearing, and this is on the small side incase I want to go twin setup someday. Check out Rick Tapp at www.fullboogie.net
He is a Percision turbo dealer, and much more. He's a die hard mustang fan and really knows what he's doing. His web site list all his prices. and you can check out pictures of previous installs.
