My Friend just switched his rx7 twinturbo into single turbo so now he has 2 extra stock turbos. is there anyway i could use these on my car if i get a shop to fab the tubbing and i buy all the other stuff Btw: what would i need and is it worth it?
You should check out 3.8mustang.com. There is a member there that builds custom turbo set ups, Justin00V6.
He is running a all custom built (he did all the work himself) twin turbo set up on his 2000V6 with a stock motor and internals and ran a 11.965 at 12psi 113.19 MPH. Not bad for a v6. I have even seen a few members on there using a Diesel truck turbo in their set up. Heres a link to his page: http://www.velocitymustangperformance.com/
I am not sure if he has done any for a GT though, but I guess you could ask him what you would need and what it would run.

That would kick has to have a home made "junk yard" turbo kit. Even though they may be tiny turbos, you could still be pushing 350-400 to the wheels. What are the turbo size?? If they are free, I wouldnt think twice about it.
Sorry guys, although it seems like it would be a kickbutt project, thos Turbos are way too small for a V8. It would be a waste of time to do all the fab work only to find they are undersized for your needs.

ohh ok sounds like plan B: sell the turbos on ebay and use that money to help me pay for a kenny bell s/c haha how much do you think i could get for them>? 300-500$ ?

I've had 10 rx-7's so I know a little about them. I love RX-7's and Mustangs. Go figure. lol
I don't think it would be very easy to use the 7's turbo's on a V8. first they are 2 different sizes so they run sequential. This means you would have to mount them together like they are stock. tehy also use a very complex "rats nest" of vacume lines to control how they switch. You could run them non sequental but this would be over complecating things as you would have 2 different turbo's acting as one.
As far as being too small. they probably are too small for any serious HP but people have used them to make over 350 RWHP with around 16lbs of boost.
The rotary will flow a lot more air than your typical 1.3L piston engine. It' is closer to a typical small block V8 in terms of fuel and air consumption.
You would be better off going with a pair of Thunderterd turbo's if you want a DIY setup.
