Turbo??

I had my heart set on a blower but..... the more I read I think I may wanna go turbo :hail2: . I just need to know more about um. Do they make kits for my car? where is a good place to purchase? what kinda money are we talkin about here? and what kinda power can I expect on my set up now and would the 306 I wanna build be appropriate? THANKS

With H/C/I and a Turbo and 10 PSI of boost you can prob see 500 RWHP or pretty close to it. Turbo kits were not as popular a few yrs back b/c there were not reputible companys. I've got 2 friends w/ Turbos on there stangs, they both got them from HP Performance out of New Mexico. Very good kits, they look good and there good people to deal w/ from what Ive heard from them even when there were mistakes or problems. You will prob spend in the ball park of $4,000 for a kit, plus what ever other upgrades you need to do.
yeah just looked looks like it comes with pretty much everything. I am a lil confused on what size turbo stage 1 comes with. looks like its gonna be close to 5,000 :( but its prolly worth it :D
Im not positive but I think Stage I is a 60 MM and Stage II is a 66MM. The 2 stangs in our club that have kits from them one has the 60, the other has the 66.

yeah I just found it on their site, you are right. I wonder which one would be better I think think the largest is the 76. I dunno. I really need to start saving up  . Do you think the 306 I plan on building would be a good choice for the turbo or supercharger set up for that matter? and would u keep the afr 165's or bump up to the 185's  . sorry to ask so much I just want some input. thanks!

1. The guy w/ the 60 MM is actually making more HP then the other one w/ the 66MM

2. Yeah a 306 would be good, they both have stock 5.0 302 blocks.

3. No need to bump up to 185's if your already spending all that money on a kit. The guy w/ the 66MM has 165 AFR's and the guy w/ the 60 MM has Twisted Wedge heads.

Don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach! :D

You start moving up and you're talking about huge $ to bring everything else up to snuff and to be able to run safely.

thanks for finding that info. those are some impresive numbers :hail2: yeah I need to get my intake ported I kinda ran out of money after my heads and cam. I figure I may have a lil more power left on the table without having done that yet.

It would be a mistake to just go with a big turbo to start with. You'll be way outside it's efficiency range and would make less power than you would with a smaller one. So don't get stuck in mindset that a bigger turbo is an upgrade. So you should get your setup dyno'd before choosing one. That way you know your N/A airflow and desired power curve.

On another note, I've always thought I would buy a Pro Turbo Kits 94-95 Street T-64E kit if I don't get a KB :D
